Welcome to the HealthCi program: Qube

Healthy Business update: 9th December 2021

Healthy Business Director Alastair Lynch and Health and Wellbeing coach Gareth Oakley present to the Qube team

Healthy Business are excited to welcome national business Qube to our HealthCi program.

Qube are Australia’s largest integrated provider of import and export logistics services, operating in over 135 locations across Australia, New Zealand, and Southeast Asia.

This morning, we launched a pilot HealthCi health and wellbeing program at Qube’s Bell Bay operation in North Tasmania. The pilot program will be delivered over the next nine months to approximately 60 Stevedores and managers at the Bell Bay site.

HealthCi is a proactive health and wellbeing program, which will provide professional, free, and confidential, one on one coaching for Qube employees. The focus of the program is to provide individuals with the education, support, and empowerment they need to make lasting improvements to their physical and mental health and wellbeing.

Craig Youl, the National Safety, Health & Sustainability Manager at Qube Ports, recognised that our “HealthCi” health and wellbeing coaching program strongly aligned with the Qube health and wellness strategy, which aims to prevent injury and illness through a culture of proactive and holistic health promotion, and early intervention.

Mr Youl says that "We want everyone to come to work healthy, and then go home healthy. We don’t expect everyone to suddenly start eating quinoa salads, however we know the health benefits good work has and most importantly we want our team to enjoy the important stuff when they knock off."

The program was officially launched at Bell Bay this morning by Healthy Business Director Alastair Lynch and Health and Wellbeing coach Gareth Oakley. Qube hosted morning tea while our team presented the new program and its benefits to the Qube employees.

Mr Lynch say that “Healthy Business are excited about the new partnership with Qube, and we look forward to supporting their employees to make impactful and lasting improvements to their lives”.

The aim of this morning’s launch was to encourage participation and onboard Qube employees to the program. Once signed up, Qube employees will have access to health and wellbeing coaching to equip them to make lifelong health and wellbeing improvements.
